Haiti - Tourism : 2012, destination Bainet
The town of Bainet, located between Jacmel and Côtes de Fer, is preparing to celebrate St-Pierre, June 29 through various socio-cultural and religious events organized by the productions Laplante/Calalou together with Dr. Caroline Jn-Louis and Alix Janvier.

Activities will take place Friday, June 29 with a performance of the konpa band "Nu Fase" coming directly from New York to "La Coquille Club Night" at the heart of the city. On Saturday, June 30 the group MO/K formed of Haitian students based in Santo Domingo, will create the ambiance and July 1 will be marked by a Mass of thanksgiving, tours of various historic sites of the city (La brésilienne, Trouma Hot, Petite-Anse, Sous les bananiers) and an outdoor concert of MO/K...

According to Frantz Laplante, President of "Regard sur Bainet" and of "Laplante Productions", Bainet worth the trip, given the beauty of this town and the summer arriving quickly "I hope these activities will have positive impacts for the city and I invite people from everywhere to come and discover it. It is a magical city, idyllic. I can say that to Bainet, you're at home and especially in security, compared to other cities in Haiti. In short the festival will be great."

Moreover, Frantz Laplante, through its actions and positions, argues passionately for local tourism. Besides the son of the deceased Francois Laplante [businessman, former mayor of Bainet, which was the first to own a night club next to the bridge of Bainet], is ready to share its experiences and expertise in the tourism and hospitality field with the population (in the U.S. he worked for the Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis and the Breakers in Palm Beach).

He strongly wishes that Bainet, his hometown, became a tourist site in high demand like Jacmel known for its carnival and crafts : "Mwen kwe nan sa e mwen ka fe'l" he proudly stated.
