Haiti - Social : Electrical situation to Curtis and Maro...

Early Thursday morning, several dozen residents of two localities of Petit Goâve : Curtis and Maro, erected barricades on the national road #2, paralyzing the traffic a good part of the morning, until the intervention of the National Police which allowed the resumption of traffic for the numerous immobilized vehicles.

Residents demanded the restoration of the electricity they are private for many days after an alleged failure of transformer... and the electrification of other areas. The protesters threw hostile remarks against the Director of Electricity of Haiti, whom they accuse of lied them many times and asked the Deputy Thimoléon to respect to his campaign promise, to electrify Curtis and Maro...

The inhabitants of these two localities, threatening to start over, if their demands are not met, noting that they already have electricity pylons... Other peripheral areas of the city such as street Benoit and Ti guinnin, also claiming for electricity and promised to take the streets soon, if nothing moves.
