The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe left the country, Wednesday, June 13, for Washington DC, where he will meet, among others, Carlos Alberto Moreno, President of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB).

The Head of Government, is accompanied by Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, of his advisors in reconstruction and international cooperation, respectively atrick Rouzier and Ms. Teresa Barba, and Goodwill Ambassador for Haiti Sean Penn. The Head of Government will also participate in the Symposium "Discover Haiti" together with former U.S. President Bill Clinton in the auditorium Enrique Iglesias of the IDB.

Laurent Lamothe will also attend the art exhibition of Urban Zen, led by the famous American designer, Donna Karan.

The Prime Minister will take the opportunity to meet with Vermont Senator, Patrick Leahy about the establishment of the rule of law and judicial reform in Haiti, and the leaders of the American Red Cross on the issues of assistance to IDP camps of 12 January 2010.

The Prime Minister, in his determination to find more opportunities for Haiti, wants to take advantage of this travel, to attract potential investors as part of the business diplomacy that he applies since his arrival at the Chancellery and to the Primature.
