Haiti - Diaspora : MedShare celebrated the shipment of its 800th container...

Within the framework of a partnership with the Consulate General of Haiti in Atlanta, the members of the Board of MedShare celebrated last week, the sending of their 800th container, for the Maternity of the Hospital Isaïe Jeanty, located to Chancerelles in Haiti.

Mr. Gandy Thomas, the Consul General of Haiti in Atlanta, warmly thanked MedShare who, together with partners such as : North Shore LIJ, GE Healthcare, Hill Rom, UPS and the UPS Foundation carried out the renovation of beds, the donation of new mattresses, the organization and the preparation of shipment to its final destination. Recall that the Maternity of the Hospital Isaïe Jeanty ad already received two incubators for newborns, at a previous donation of MedShare.

A total of 150 beds will be delivered during this project. 16 other containers will be shipped to Haiti throughout next year as part of the commitment of this organization to assist countries in urgent need of medical equipment.
