Joseph Ronald Toussaint, the Minister of Environment and the overnment Martelly-Lamothe, decreed,on the occasion of the the World Environment Day (June 5, 2012), the month of June in Haiti "Environment Month" around the theme "A Green Economy for a Haitian Society Environmental Viable, Sustainable and Just"

According to Clerveau Pierre, Director of the ministerial cabinet, the World Environment Day "gives us the opportunity to meet together to reflect, discuss and share our ideas, our programs and projects for a Haiti Green with Cities Cleane and Salubrious" indicating that the Ministry of Environment would like, in collaboration with stakeholders, hold "General state of the environment" on 7 and 8 June at Club Indigo.
