The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) has put in place the National Strategic Committee (CSN) for the education sector, expected in the operational plan. The CSN touches all sub-sectors of education t until higher education.

Composition of the CSN

1. Réginald Paul, Minister of Education (President)

2. Director General of MENFP

3. Director General of the National Institute of Vocational Training (INFP)

4. Representative of the Minister of Economy and Finance

5. Representative of the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation,

6. President of the Commission Education of the Upper House

7. President of the Lower House

8. Chairman of the Commission of Education of Framework of Inter-NGO Liaison (CLIO)

9. Private sector representative (COSPE, teacher union, an association of parents of students)

10. Education Cluster Coordinator

Missions of the CSN :

• Ensure monitoring of the broad guidelines of the Operational Plan ;

• Redefine, if necessary, the strategic options of the plan ;

• Ensure partner alignment in relation to the selected options in the plan ;

• Provide validation on the political and strategic elements of the work of National Technical Committee (CTN) and of the working groups as well that bringing political and strategic solutions to potential bottlenecks on the implementation ;

• Ensure the holding of sectoral reviews ;

• Oversee the work of RESEN, Report of State of National Education System.

An upcoming meeting is scheduled on June 2 for the establishment of the CTN and the presentation of projects of the sector of Education.
