Haiti - Security : Donation of five patrol boats to the Directorate of the Haitian Coast Guard
The President Michel Martelly will participate this Thursday morning at the official inauguration of the mechanical workshop of the Haitian marine base "Admiral Killick" [to Bizoton] and to the delivery by Canada of five patrol boats to the Coast Guard of the National Police of Haiti (PNH).
The Working Group for the stabilization and reconstruction (START) of the Canadian Embassy, which works closely with the PNH, will delivery at this event, five patrol boats, to the Directorate of the Haitian Coast Guard. These boats will be used to build the capacity of the Coast Guard to ensure better control of Haitian territorial waters.
This initiative comes strengthen ties of cooperation, already very cordial, between Haiti and Canada.
