The President of Haiti, Michel Martelly, sends its warmest congratulations to the new Head of French State, François Hollande, for his election to the second round of French presidential held this Sunday, May 6.

The Head of State took the opportunity to formulate his best wishes to the President-elect of France. Martelly President, on behalf of the Government and of people of Haiti, reaffirming its commitment to maintain and strengthen the cordial relations that have always characterized the history of both countries.

The Haitian head of state expressed hope that the commitment of France to Haiti, through bilateral cooperation, will continue under this new administration so that continues the common history of both countries for the benefit of all.
