The Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince, in cooperation with Faith & Form magazine and the Institute for the Protection of National Heritage (ISPAN), an agency of the Haitian government, launching an international architectural competition for the reconstruction of the Cathedral Notre Dame de l'Assomption of Port-au-Prince, destroyed by the earthquake of January 12, 2010. Registrations are accepted until July 15, 2012.

Architects from around the world are invited to submit their projects, from which will be selected, this year, the cathedral to be built in a decade. The ideal design must engage the future and celebrate life, but remember the past by paying homage to the thousands of victims of the January 12, 2010.
