The Haitian saxophonist Thurgot Théodat is invited to Cape Verde (Africa) to attend the 4th edition of the "Kriol Jazz Festival" of Praia [Cape Verde] from April 12-14. This is the first time that a Haitian musician will attend this festival dedicated to the Creole culture.

Organized by the society "Harmonia Lda" in partnership with the City of Praia, the 4th edition of the "Kriol Jazz Festival" aims to promote Creole-inspired music native of all the islands, whether in the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Cape Verde, and even Africa.

This year the Festival will pay tribute to Cesaria Evora, Cape Verdean diva recently disappeared. In addition to concerts of musicians from Cape Verde and abroad, the festival offers a series of workshops, jam sessions and musical events.

Thurgot Théodat will be the special guest of Ku4rtet group, new group of jazz of Cape Verde composed of young musicians based in Mindelo, on the island of Sao Vicente.
