The Permanent Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Haiti to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland has the honor to announce to the Haitian Community of Switzerland, to the Helvetic and Haitian Associations based in Switzerland working for Haiti and all the Friends of Haiti in Switzerland and France that the Mission will participate in the Pilgrimage Toussaint Louverture organized at Château de Joux/Pontarlier (France) this Saturday, April 7, 2012 to commemorate the death of this Hero, precursor of Haiti's independence.

During a memorial ceremony, organized by Mr. Patrick Gender, Mayor of Pontarlier and President of the Community of Communes of Larmont, Mr. Jean-Bony Alexandre, the new Charge d'Affaires ai of the Diplomatic Mission, will lay a wreath flowers at the monument erected in 1954 for Toussaint Louverture (1743-1803).

The Mission of the Republic of Haiti takes this opportunity to renew to the Haitian Community of Switzerland, to the Helvetic and Haitian Associations based in Switzerland working for Haiti and all the Friends of Haiti, the assurances of its highest consideration.
