Haiti - Religion : Desecration of the Church of Notre-Dame of Petit-Goâve

On the night of 9 to 10 March 2012, unidentified individuals have stained with mud, the altar of the church Notre-Dame of Petit-Goâve and stained all the symbols : the crucifix, the table, the image of the Virgin Mary...

Father Boniface describes this act of desecration, abomination, immorality, of persecution and asks the faithful to continue to pray and not to be discouraged at this time of Lent... For his part the Father Philogène speaks of "sacrilege". The Christians present, have strongly condemned this act they consider as an act of vandalism and madness...

For now, all religious activities are suspended within the confines of the Catholic church of etit Goâve pending the decision of higher authorities has informed the Father Boniface.
