American Airlines Reminder

American Airlines plans to resume flights to Haiti in November, after a two-year hiatus. As a reminder, starting November 1st, American Airlines will operate daily flights between Miami and Cap-Haïtien using Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline had suspended its flights to Haiti in November 2024 when the FAA banned US carriers from serving the country after Spirit and JetBlue planes were hit by gunfire at Port-au-Prince airport.

South-South Cooperation

During the second day of discussions, the Haitian delegation on a mission to Burundi, composed of Valeska Maurice, Director of External Cooperation, and Holwith Desgranges, Director of Communications for the National School Feeding Program (PNCS), conducted a field visit to the Plaine area, west of the Mpanda commune. The new French Ambassador to Haiti, Gautier Lekens, met with Vijonet Déméro, the Minister of National Education, to discuss the priorities of educational cooperation between France and Haiti.
