The Trou-Jacques Methodist School Becomes Public

Vijonet Déméro, the Minister of National Education, and Reverend Gelin Rosamour, Superintendent of the Methodist Church of Haiti, have signed the agreement establishing the nationalization of the Trou-Jacques Methodist School (Anse-à-Galets Commune, La Gonâve). The signing of this agreement confirms that the school is transitioning from a private, parochial to a public institution. This means that the Ministry will assume responsibility for operating costs and integrate the school into the program for providing textbooks, teaching materials, and furniture. The Ministry's responsibilities also include the maintenance of the premises, pedagogical supervision, and the evaluation of administrative and teaching staff before their integration into the civil service system.
