The Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) learned with great sadness of the passing of trumpeter André Dejean, one of the great figures who shaped the history of Haitian music. His work leaves an indelible mark on the country’s musical heritage. In these painful moments, the MHAVE extends its condolences to his family, loved ones, and the entire Haitian artistic and musical community, both in Haiti and abroad. With the passing of André Dejean, Haiti loses a great artist, but his legacy will continue to live on through his music and in the memories of future generations. The Haitian diaspora helps Venezuelan students

"To reaffirm the historical bonds of brotherhood, the Civil Association of Haitians in Venezuela (ASOHAVEN) organized the distribution of 25 school kits. This solidarity initiative aims to ensure the holistic development of children in the Venezuelan host community."

Cap-Haitien : Drinking Water Service Partially Suspended

The National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA), through the Regional Office of Drinking Water and Sanitation (OREPA-Nord) and the Cap-Haïtien Technical Operations Center (CTE), informs all its subscribers in downtown Cap-Haïtien, Sainte-Philomène, Fort Saint-Michel, and Petit-Anse that, due to ongoing roadwork on National Road 3, the water distribution service is temporarily suspended in the affected areas. During the roadwork, several pipes in the network were damaged. DINEPA/CTE Cap-Haïtien technical teams are already on site to repair the damaged pipes and take all necessary steps to restore service. We ask all our subscribers for their patience and understanding during these technical operations.

Cap-Haitien : Markets for Vendors

As part of the "Markets for Vendors" policy, the Cap-Haitien municipal commission met on Friday, September 11, with the various vendor committees to explain the steps taken by the commission to improve the conditions under which they conduct their business. In this regard, repair work will begin at the bridge market to expand it, thus allowing all vendors to free up space along the waterfront. Furthermore, efforts to find land for the markets on Rue 9 and Rue 3 are continuing. The government is already mobilized to support the municipality.
