Haiti - Economy : Modernization of the process of creation of a limited company

The President Michel Martelly, will announce Tuesday, January 31, an ambitious project to modernize the process of creation of a limited company. A response to the administrative red tape that had found the President in many of his earlier interventions "For starting a business, Haiti ranks 180th out of 183 [...]" then, he committed to "simplify the administrative procedures to encourage private initiative and boost investment [...] he said that it takes 280 days, I'll see if I can reduce that period to 10 days [...]" had declared the Head of State, speaking of a single window where Haitian and foreign investors will find all the necessary paperwork instead of going by too many ministries...

The project to be announced tomorrow, aims to make the reengineering and computerization of steps associated with the creation of a limited company, while meeting prescribed in the current legislation. It will be implemented by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI) with the active support of the various actors involved directly and indirectly in the process, including lawyers, notaries, entrepreneurs, investors, public sector entities external to MCI, the mobile operators and entities of the international community.
