The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) announces that eighteen (18) political party groups have registered with the CEP in preparation for the upcoming elections.

The registration deadline for political groups, extended until August 6, 2026, was officially closed by a Justice of the Peace in the municipality of Pétion-Ville on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 9:50 p.m.

These eighteen (18) registered political groups comprise a total of two hundred and thirty-six (236) political parties out of the three hundred and sixteen (316) officially recognized political parties.

Therefore, the CEP is publishing the list of the eighteen (18) registered political groups and the officially recognized political parties that comprise them.

The next step is to analyze the submitted files for the publication of the list of approved political groups on August 8, 2026. Registration of political groups is scheduled from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14, 2026, in accordance with the current electoral calendar.
