Zero Tolerance in the North

The Departmental Directorate of the Haitian National Police (PNH) in the North announces a zero-tolerance policy for vehicles circulating without license plates or valid insurance, in violation of the decree of May 26, 2006. Police officers who facilitate the illegal circulation of these vehicles will be subject to the disciplinary sanctions stipulated by PNH regulations.

€500,000 for Diphtheria

The European Union (EU) has allocated €500,000 in humanitarian funding to support efforts to prevent and treat diphtheria cases in Haiti. This EU funding will be deployed through the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to strengthen surveillance and laboratory capacity for screening (confirmation of diphtheria cases), improve vaccination coverage, and enhance the management of identified cases. EU action will focus on the West, Southeast, Northeast, and Northwest departments.

Jacmel : Major Cleanup Operation
