U-20 Championship : D-Day, Haiti vs. USA

As part of the 2026 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, Haiti's Grenadiers will face the United States national team, nicknamed the "Yankees" this Saturday, July 25, at the Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla, Mexico, at 10:00 PM (Haiti time). This will be the fifth time the two nations have met in the history of the CONCACAF U-20 Championship. The United States boasts a perfect record in this encounter, having won the last four matches. Haiti is participating in its 12th CONCACAF U-20 Championship after finishing first in Group D of the U-20 qualifiers with a perfect record of 4 wins, 0 losses, and 0 draws. Jacmel : New Municipal Commission

On Friday, July 24, 2026, after being sworn in before Justice of the Peace Keder Adescar, the new members of the municipal commission were officially installed in their positions by the departmental delegate, Pierre Michel Lafontant. The chairmanship of this commission was entrusted to Marceau Joseph (Mayor), who will be supported by two committed and determined women: Stéphanie Edouard Lafontant and Julie Leclerc, both serving as commission members (Deputy Mayors).

Opening up the rural road in Rendel

The Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR) officially launched the project to open up the rural road in Rendel, in the commune of Chardonnières. The ceremony took place on Friday, July 24, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture, Agronomist Marcelin Aubourg. This project is part of the Resilient Agriculture for Food Security Project (PARSA). According to the Minister, it demonstrates MARNDR's commitment to investing in rural communities to improve access to farms, facilitate the marketing of agricultural products, and strengthen food security.

39 Years After the Jean-Rabel Massacre

39 years after the Jean-Rabel massacre of July 23, 1987, which claimed the lives of 139 peasants and injured more than 200, the Tèt Kole Ti Peyizan Ayisyen organization continues to demand justice, reparations, and the implementation of genuine agrarian reform in Haiti. Nearly four decades after the Jean-Rabel massacre, the organization believes that the demands that led the peasants to mobilize in 1987 remain relevant.

Cap-Haitien: Paint Distribution Begins
