Electoral Decree of June 2nd and Amending Decree The Electoral Decree of June 2nd, 2026, establishes the legal framework governing the organization and conduct of the electoral process leading to the general elections. It sets forth, in particular, the rules applicable to voter registration, the accreditation and participation of political parties, voting procedures, the counting of ballots, the announcement of results, and the resolution of electoral disputes. To make adjustments to certain provisions, an Amending Decree dated July 2nd, 2026, was adopted.

The President of the Municipal Commission, Mayor Michel Saint-Croix, met with several residents and property owners in the city center, particularly in areas where street and sidewalk clearing operations have already taken place. This meeting allowed municipal authorities to present the procedures and arrangements planned for the distribution of paint. "The Municipal Commission reiterates its appeal to all citizens living in the municipality to continue participating in efforts to improve the city’s image." Agreement between the GSF and the MJSP This week, Patrick Pélissier, Minister of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the representative of the Gang Supression Force (GSF), diplomat Jack Christofidès. This agreement provides for the transfer to Haitian authorities of individuals arrested, as well as weapons, ammunition, and other equipment seized during operations conducted by the FRG throughout the country. Through this initiative, the government states its intention to strengthen public security and create favorable conditions for the upcoming elections. Electoral Calendar to be Released Soon... Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé announces the upcoming publication of a new electoral calendar. He specifies, however, that the organization of the elections will depend primarily on an improvement in the security situation. HOPE/HELP : The PM in Washington Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé is on an official mission to Washington, leading a delegation that includes the Minister of Commerce and Industry, James Monazard, Yves Pierre, representative of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), and Georges Sassine, president of the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH). The delegation continues its advocacy for the extension of the HOPE/HELP law, a trade mechanism considered essential to the Haitian economy, particularly the textile sector. J-B Aristide's 73rd Birthday On this day celebrating Jean-Bertrand Aristide's 73rd birthday (born July 15, 1953, in Port-Salut), the Tabarre Municipal Commission expresses its profound gratitude for his contribution to the municipality's development in the fields of education and health, achieved through the Dr. Aristide Foundation University (UNIFA) and the Dr. Aristide University Hospital.
