Haiti - Football : A good and bad news...

The Grenadières of the Senior women's national team, are in Vancouver (Canada) for the final round of the playoffs for London 2012 Olympics, Saturday evening they faced the team of Costa Rica, after having lost last Thursday against Canada (6-0) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-4761-haiti-football-the-grenadieres-crushed-by-canada-6-0-ednie-limage-injured.html

The good news is that Edine Limage of the national team, who was injured in a collision with its teammate Samantha Marie Brand, in an attempt to recover the ball during the match between Haiti in Canada last Thursday, for which one had feared a moment, an injury to the spine, was released from the hospital and was able to attend Saturday evening, as a spectator at the match between Haiti and Costa Rica.

The bad news is that our national team after having stood up to Costa Rica until the half time (0-0), received a first goal to the 49' by Wendy Acosta (Costa Rica) followed by a second goal of the head of Wendy to the 57' signing the defeat of Haiti (2-0) leaving no hope for our women's national team to be present at the London 2012 Olympics.

Hope that our valiant Grenadières will win the last game, scheduled Jan. 23 against Cuba and thus avoid, to finish on a score of 3 losses.
