2026 World Cup : The Prime Minister of Haiti meets with the Boston diaspora

On Friday, June 12, 2026, on the sidelines of activities surrounding the national team's participation in the FIFA World Cup, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé met with the Haitian community in Boston in a warm and friendly atmosphere, marked by frank and constructive discussions about the country's future.

During this meeting, the Prime Minister presented the main actions undertaken by Haitian authorities to restore security throughout the country and create the necessary conditions for holding democratic, free, inclusive, and credible elections as soon as possible.

He highlighted the government's efforts to strengthen the operational capacities of the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H), which are continuing their mission to restore public order with the support of the Multinational Force for the Supression of Gangs (GSF), engaged in the fight against armed gangs and terrorists.

The Prime Minister also commended the diaspora's attachment to their country of origin and its essential contribution to Haiti's economic and social development. He reaffirmed the Government's commitment to maintaining an ongoing dialogue with Haitians living abroad and to involving them more closely in shaping the nation's future.

This meeting demonstrates the importance the Government places on strengthening ties with the Haitian diaspora, an indispensable partner in the country's recovery, stability, and prosperity.
