Following the cancellation on Monday, June 8, 2026, of the Cap-Haïtien - Montreal - Cap-Haitien flight (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-47711-zed-airlines-flights-from-cap-haitien-to-montreal-and-back-cancelled.html), the new Haitian airline, Zed Airlines, in a press release dated June 9, 2029, explains all the measures taken to assist all its passengers affected by this cancellation...

"The cancellation of our flights to and from Montreal on June 8 and 9, 2026, due to sudden airport procedural constraints, has generated strong reactions on our digital platforms. We fully understand the inconvenience caused and apologize once again to all affected passengers.

We wish to clearly inform you of the measures taken immediately following this cancellation to manage this exceptional situation.” From the outset of the incident, we activated our crisis communication management team to implement our internal customer support procedures. As a result, we :

- Granted each passenger compensation in accordance with the amounts stipulated by aviation regulations.

- Provided accommodation for all stranded passengers.

- Initiated refund procedures for passengers who requested them.

- Covered the costs of transporting several of our passengers to their final destinations via rescue flights.

We encourage those affected by this situation, and who have not yet done so, to check their emails and contact our customer service department for any necessary follow-up.

Our priority remains customer satisfaction, even in the most challenging situations, and we thank all those who have remained steadfast in their trust in us.
