GSF : Operations to Begin in June

The Gang Supression Force (GSF) has announced the finalization of its preparations for launching operations in Haiti in early June. It specifies that the initial interventions are still in the planning phase, citing a "gradual and structured" process to explain the delay. The scheduled deployment of military contingents from Chad, El Salvador, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, Ivory Coast, and Bangladesh should allow the GSF's 5,500 personnel to be fully deployed on the ground by October 2026.

Municipalities : Hygiene and Sanitation Training

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), through its Directorate of Quality Control and Consumer Protection, launched a three-day training course (May 20-22) on hygiene and sanitation in food production and distribution facilities at the Delmas Municipal Palace. This activity brings together several representatives from municipalities in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area, with the goal of strengthening the capacities of municipal health officials and optimizing health control within communities.
