Taiwan : Signing of Implementation Agreements

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Cheng-hao Hu, Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China), and Marcelin Aubourg, Minister of Agriculture, signed the implementation agreements for three sub-projects of the "Rice Production Improvement Project in Haiti" and the "Vegetable and Fruit Cultivation Development Project in Haiti." Through the signing of these implementation agreements, Taiwan will continue to support rice, fruit, and vegetable production in Haiti, strengthen the self-reliance of producers, and contribute to the country's food security.

Hinche : New Accommodation Site

On May 21, 2026, a new temporary accommodation site was inaugurated in Hinche. Developed with the support of partners, including the IOM, this site will help accommodate displaced persons while strengthening emergency response capacities in the Central Department. The United States remains committed to supporting vulnerable communities affected by displacement and crises.

Gangs now control only 70 to 75% of Port-au-Prince

Internationally Awarded Poet Frantsley Valbrun

Project : A Diaspora-Owned Airline ?

Haitian entrepreneur Jhonson Napoleon has announced strong support from the diaspora for his Haitian airline project. “Haiti Rise Air” posted on its Facebook page, "More than 30,746 people have pledged over $55 million in the vision of building a diaspora-owned airline." According to Jhonson Napoleon, the coming months will be dedicated to structuring the company and establishing the necessary financial, administrative, and legal foundations for the project's development. It's important to note that these are only pledges of investment, not confirmed commitments.
