Haiti - FLASH : The FAd'H will launch a massive recruitment drive in all 10 departments

On Thursday, May 21, the Ministry of Defense announced in a press release that, in accordance with the objectives of the 2026-2027 Action Plan aimed at progressively strengthening the military personnel, the Haitian Armed Forces (FAD'H) are preparing to launch, in the coming days, a mass recruitment drive in the country's 10 departments, aiming to enlist one thousand members (soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and officers).

This recruitment is open to young men and women wishing to pursue careers as soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and officers.

In addition to the usual physical, intellectual, and medical considerations, and with a view to promoting fundamental Haitian values ​​based on civic duty, patriotism, and mutual support, social profile criteria, focusing on community engagement and social solidarity, will now be included in the candidate profiles.

These social profile criteria, which are not cumulative but alternative, are as follows :

- Being a volunteer blood donor within the National Transfusion Safety Program;

- Demonstrating eco-citizenship;

- Participating in community initiatives aimed at improving collective well-being;

- Having participated in support networks for isolated patients;

- Being a member of an educational youth movement (Scouting, MEJ, JA, etc...);

- Being involved in mutual support groups for vulnerable adults (mental, cognitive, or social disabilities, old age, etc...);

- Having participated in reforestation projects;

- Being involved in civic, artistic, or sports training activities for disadvantaged adolescents or young people;

- Being a role model of positive masculinity;

- Promoting the dividends of peace within one's community.

Note that social or institutional proof attesting to one of these commitments will be required from the candidate during the recruitment process.
