New FRG Commander in Haiti

On Thursday, May 14, the Gang Supression Force (GSF) announced that Major General Erdenebat Batsuuri of Mongolia and his team had arrived in Port-au-Prince, where he was installed as the new commander of the Gang Supression Force. This military officer has over 30 years of experience in numerous missions, including those in Cyprus, Iraq, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, and South Sudan.

7 Children Killed in Gang Violence

According to a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), dated May 13, 2026, citing the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), at least 7 children have been killed in armed gang violence in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area since May 10, 2026. 176 others have also been injured.

Digicel : Numerous Outages on its Fiber Optic Network
