Haiti - Economy : Some Haitian entrepreneurs will accompany Laurent Lamothe in France
More than a dozen Haitian entrepreneurs, gathered by the Franco-Haitian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFHCI), will accompany in France, from January 23 to 25 January, 2012, he ministerial delegation led by the Chancellor Laurent Lamothe, in order to further boost the Business Diplomacy, between the two countries.
The CFHCI will participate in this event, as part of the agreement signed May 5, 2010 with the Private Sector Economic Forum (PSPA) and the Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF) and in accordance with its mission to "contribute actively to increase the commercial exchanges and to develop the business opportunities, attracting foreign direct investment in Haiti."
In addition, the CFHCI will organize with the MEDEF, on January 25, 2012, a day of exchanges where the Haitian ministers and business leaders from both countries will discuss, among other, of economic priorities and the shared vision for the development of the country, of the continuation of the process of reconstruction and the major projects in sectors with growth and jobs potential.
This is the fourth visit of the CFHCI in France with the Haitian government. The latter will enable it to facilitate constructive dialogue between the interlocutors, by showing a Haiti open for investment and modernity, and lay the foundation of a revolution of growth. Mr. Gregory Brandt, President of the CFHCI, will present in his address, the opportunities of public-private partnerships Franco-Haitian.
