URGENT : 3 departments on Alert threatened by heavy rain

The weather forecast for Thursday, April 23, 2026, predicts continued rain and thunderstorms. There remains a risk of flash floods and landslides in several areas of the far north of the country.

Therefore, the National System for Risk and Disaster Management (SNGRD), in collaboration with the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGDPC), is maintaining the Yellow alert for the North, Northeast, and Northwest departments.

Instructions for residents living in at-risk areas :

- If you live near the sea, ravines, or in areas prone to flooding: make arrangements to take shelter with a family member or friend.

- Never cross flooded waters: whether on foot, on horseback, or by car.

- Protect your important documents: store your belongings and essential papers in a safe place, away from water.
