FAd'H : The Makandal Promotion, soon to be in combat

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, Mario Andrésol, the Minister of Defense, visited the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H) base in Tabarre, near Vertières, to assess the progress of preparations for the deployment of troops.

During his visit, Andrésol announced several important measures, including the upcoming adoption of a new military doctrine, the imminent graduation of the "François Makandal" class, the first FAd'H intervention unit slated for combat against armed groups and terrorists, and the training of 1,200 new soldiers within three months.

These announcements demonstrate the Government's commitment to neutralizing threats and creating the conditions for lasting stability throughout the country.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to doing everything possible to ensure the organization of democratic elections, the only guarantee of the legitimacy of institutions and the continuity of the Republic.
