2 Journalists Kidnapped

On Friday, March 13, 2026, two journalists, Osnel Espérance (Uni FM) and Junior Célestin (Megastar), who were reporting in downtown Haiti, were kidnapped by armed men from the terrorist coalition "Viv ansanm".

Arnel Bélizaire, presidential candidate

Wanted since February 5 by the DCPJ (Central Directorate of the Judicial Police) for terrorism and conspiracy against state security, and sanctioned by the US for corruption, former deputy Arnel Bélizaire was present on Thursday, March 12, at the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) in Pétion-ville to register his party for the upcoming elections, as a presidential candidate.

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Haiti in Brazil informs the general public, and concerned users in particular, that all duly legalized driver's license certificates have been sent to the individuals concerned.
