NATCOM : 2 Employees Killed and Another Wounded On Saturday, February 21, 2026, two employees of the mobile phone company Natcom were killed and another wounded in an ambush at Morne Tranchant in the commune of Kenscoff. They were traveling in a vehicle to deliver supplies to a company site. Léogâne : 2026 Rara Season Canceled As a preventative measure and after a thorough analysis of the security situation, the municipal authorities of Léogâne have decided, in an official statement, to prohibit all Rara-related festivities for the 2026 season. The decision was made public jointly by the City Hall, the Union of Rara of Léogâne (URAL), and the Association of Leaders of Rara Bands of Léogâne (ADBRAL). Six Armored Vehicles for Artibonite The Artibonite Departmental Police Directorate has received six armored vehicles to support the Haitian National Police's operations in the fight against armed groups and terrorists. This training workshop covered essential topics such as security guidelines, stadium and club security plans, accreditation control, the anti-discrimination protocol, match management, and disciplinary and reporting mechanisms. Practical exercises and simulations allowed participants to implement the procedures studied. This knowledge will now be shared with clubs in Haiti. "Superman" Visits the Haitian Consulate in Montreal The Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal was pleased to welcome Haitian-Canadian boxer and former WBC light heavyweight world champion, Adonis Stevenson, also known as "Superman" last week for a visit demonstrating his connection to his roots and the Haitian community in Canada.
