HOPE/HELP : Haitian Delegation in Washington, D.C.

As part of ongoing advocacy for a long-term extension of the HOPE/HELP Act, a delegation from the Association of Haitian Industries (ADIH) stayed in Washington, D.C., to hold numerous meetings and raise awareness among American decision-makers. Georges B. Sassine, former President of ADIH, took the opportunity to participate in the U.S. Senate hearing entitled Haiti 2026 Security and Foreign Assistance Priorities, where Henry T. Wooster, the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Haiti, presented the current situation in Haiti. Discussions focused on security challenges, the deterioration of the national economy, the impact on the textile sector and the HOPE/HELP Act, job insecurity, and the prospects for international cooperation needed to restore security and stability and support Haiti's economic development.

50 Water Tanks to Combat Drought

Thanks to the 50 water tanks currently being built by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) with the support of EU ECHO (EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid), 2,000 people in the Southeast will be able to cope with the drought and protect their agricultural production.

Renaissance Noailles/Nway Reviv

Renaissance Noailles/Nway Reviv - 87 children between the ages of 6 and 16 participated in various activities, including the "Ti Lekòl Dwa Moun" workshops. Twelve trained facilitators provided guidance. "Identite m" (Identify me) is the theme of one of the activities in the "Ti Lekòl Dwa Moun" program, designed by the AfricAmericA Foundation to raise children's awareness of and respect for their rights. "Renaissance Noailles / Nway Reviv !" This activity is part of the "Nway Reviv" program, funded by the OAS-Haiti and implemented by the AfricAmericA Foundation, in partnership with the Association of Artists and Artisans of Croix-des-Bouquets - Village Noailles.

2 Young Footballers in Jacmel

On Monday, February 16, 2026, the Jacmel City Hall welcomed two young footballers from Jacmel: Jean-Pierre Ralph Evens and Barjon Guivens. Trained at the JAF football academy, they are members of the Haitian U-17 national men's team. This welcome follows their impressive performance with the Haitian U-17 team, which qualified for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar. This initiative aims to recognize the hard work, discipline, and love these young men have for their country, as they bring glory to Jacmel and Haiti on the international stage. It also aims to encourage football schools in the city of Jacmel to continue their work with young people.
