Haiti - Security : Certified security agents at the Ministry of Agriculture 10/02/2026 08:07:55
The Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR), Western Department, has taken a major step forward by organizing intensive specialized training for its security officers, aimed at raising protection standards within the department. To ensure high-level expertise, the Minister called upon the firm Protection and Risk Management S.A. (PRM Security), a leader in the security field. Two training sessions were conducted, focusing on essential skills: • Access control to sensitive buildings; • Implementation of risk prevention measures; • Intervention techniques in the event of an emergency or major natural disaster. During the certificate presentation ceremony, Vernet Joseph, the Minister of Agriculture, warmly thanked PRM Security for its "professionalism and technical contribution". He also took the opportunity to congratulate the officers for their discipline and commitment, before reaffirming, "We will modernize and professionalize the security service for central bodies, and I sincerely hope that this training will be replicated in all Departmental Directorates." Jean Paul, the representative of PRM Security, assured everyone, "The officers are now fully equipped to ensure the physical security of the Ministry’s staff and buildings." The most moving testimony came from Osmain Austène, Head of Security "In 25 years of service within the Ministry, this is the first time a training program of this scale has been organized for us. I thank Minister Vernet Joseph for this remarkable initiative, which I consider historic and highly beneficial." This ceremony not only concludes a training cycle; it marks the beginning of a new era for security at the Ministry, with the goal of a robust and professional protection system. HL/ HaitiLibre
