The Brazilian Visa Application Center (CAVB) informs those concerned that arrangements will be made for applicants who were unable to submit their humanitarian visa (VITEM III) applications. This concerns individuals who had scheduled appointments for 2024. No appointments have been made available for 2025.

New Wave of Kidnappings

The Port-au-Prince metropolitan area is facing a new wave of kidnappings, with at least five abductions reported in less than a week. The latest incident occurred last weekend when three men were kidnapped by armed individuals in Delmas 65. Another notable kidnapping took place over the weekend, involving Judge Jean Frédérick Bénéche of the Court of Appeal, who was abducted on the Kenscoff road. The Court of Appeal is calling for his immediate release.

Football : Market value of "Corventina" €1.2 million

According to Soccer Donna, Haitian international footballer Melchie Dumornay, nicknamed "Corventina" an attacker for OL Lyon, has the highest market value of any player in the Arkema Premier League, at €1.2 million, ahead of her teammates Salma Bachan (€820,000) and J. Brand (€800,000).

Important Working Session Between the MEF and the FAO
