Haiti - Politic : Garry Conille, government actions and perspectives 2012 (+speech)
As it is of tradition, the Prime Minister Garry Conille presented this Monday, January 9, before the Parliamentary Assembly at the opening of the first ordinary session, took stock of the action of his government since taking office last October and the perspectives for 2012. The first two months of his government have been marked by significant achievements and progress.

Upon entry to the Prime Minister's Office, the Prime Minister has made an inventory "quick and comprehensive" of human resources, material and financial of the institutions of the state. He developed the government's strategy in the short and medium term, which is based on the vision and priorities of the president. The head of government has also defined the objectives and specific activities over the next 12 months "which should help revive the economy and the implementation of concrete actions that will alleviate the suffering of the Haitian people."

The Prime Minister Garry Conille declared in his presentation to have set up and strengthened bodies under the supervision of the Primature, such as: the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH), the Supreme Council of Administration and Public Service (CSAFP), the Organization of the central administration of the State, the Council of Economic and Social Development (CDES), the Council of coordination and monitoring of public policies (CCS), the Unit of Budgetary Affairs (CAB), the Unit of construction of housing and public buildings (UCLBP).

Each ministry has undertaken since the inauguration of the government, actions for institution building, administrative efficiency and good governance. All these actions have been made around a common vision and are consistent with the broad outlines of the policy statement of the Prime Minister.

In terms of perspectives, the prime minister announced for the next five months, a series of actions based on the vision of the Head of State, related to the environment, employment, the rule of law, the education and energy.

Many of these actions are already underway. Because 2012 will be a decisive year for the country. It's, recalls the Prime Minister, the year of great opportunities, which will only be realized in the union, brotherhood, a wish to which he invites all Haitians. "As head of government, I urge you, brothers and sisters of parliament, to take stock of the challenges and issues and to walk vigorously and united in the wake of the opportunities of the new era which rises on an impatient Haiti, for a Haiti of change, of renewal and of the modernity," concluded the Prime Minister Garry Conille.
