National Road #1 Blocked by the Population

Since December 25, several barricades erected by protesters have blocked traffic on National Route #1 between Saint-Marc and L'Estère. They accuse the government of exploiting insecurity for political and economic gain. The KILBA, KORESA, and KONBA, supported by local associations such as SPVDA, Pont-Sondé firstly and the Pont-Sondé Resistance, have decided to paralyze the department until order and peace are restored. Hundreds of motorists are stranded by the barricades and can no longer reach their destinations via this strategic road.

A Suspect Arrested in the Murder of "Mambo Witch"

Delmas : Mobile Clinic

On Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Delmas City Hall, to temporarily alleviate overcrowding at the University Hospital, the Family Health Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health organized a mobile clinic offering various services, including dental care, pediatric and obstetric consultations, and care related to communicable diseases.

Saint-Pierre de Corail Hospital : Surgeries Resume

Activities have resumed at the Saint-Pierre de Corail Community Referral Hospital. The hospital's surgical department has been restarted under the direction of Dr. Boutroce Gally Pierre, Departmental Director of Health for Grande Anse, with the support of the Minister of Public Health, Bertrand Sinal. As part of this recovery effort, 22 patients underwent surgery, including 14 hernia repairs, 7 hydrocele repairs, and one partial hysterectomy. This initiative is coordinated by Dr. Joséphine Chéry, the hospital director, who is receiving technical support from the Cuban brigade.

Doctors Without Borders Report

Between January and November 2025, Doctors Without Borders conducted more than 107,000 medical consultations in Haiti and treated nearly 20,000 patients in the emergency room.
