Haiti - Politic : Launch of the digital retirement portal (video)

On Friday, November 28, in Les Cayes, a delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), led by Ms. Ester Musac, organized an information and guidance day on retirement under the theme "Understanding Retirement : Meaning, Preparation, and Challenges". This event reflects the ongoing commitment of the Civil Service Pension Directorate (DPC) to inform, guide, and support civil servants at every stage of their careers, thereby contributing to better organization and effective retirement management.

The meeting raised awareness among participants about the issues related to retirement, explained administrative procedures, and presented the tools available to ensure a smooth transition to this new phase of life.

This initiative brought together public employees from the departments of Nippes, Grand'Anse, and South, with the aim of supporting them in preparing for this major milestone in their professional journey. The day concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, giving public employees the opportunity to clarify their questions and receive practical advice for a smooth retirement planning process.

As part of reforms aimed at modernizing public services, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), through its Directorate of Public Service (DPC), officially launched its digital portal, an initiative designed to simplify and expedite administrative procedures for retirees, civil servants, and public employees. The launch of this platform aligns with the national policy for the digitalization of public services, aiming to reduce waiting times, limit physical travel, and increase transparency in administrative management.

This portal is accessible at : https://dpc.mef.gouv.ht/

It now allows users to :

- View and track the status of their pension files (pensioner registration, transfer requests, survivor's pension applications);

- Update their personal information;

- Receive notifications and important information securely and quickly;

According to Esther Musac, Director of Civil Service Pensions : "This portal is a concrete example of a more efficient and citizen-centric administration. We want every retiree to be able to access their information easily and securely." The digital portal is also a tool for transparency, allowing employees and retirees to track their files in real time and giving the administration the ability to better manage data and respond more effectively to requests.

This initiative marks an important step in the digitalization of public administration, reflecting the State's commitment to modernizing its services and making life easier for citizens.
