17 EDH Technicians Kidnapped

On Monday, armed individuals from the "Tibwa" gang, led by Chief Christ-Roi Chéry, alias "Krisla" intercepted a pickup truck belonging to Électricité d'Haïti (EDH) on a service call. The 17 technicians were kidnapped. "Krisla" claimed responsibility for the kidnapping, demanding uninterrupted electricity in his territory.

Haitian Rapper "Fantom" Arrested in the Dominican Republic

His wife, Sophia Saint-Rémy Martelly, and his son, Olivier Martelly, both presidential advisors, also failed to meet legal deadlines. The investigation reveals irregularities in his declarations upon entering and leaving office between May 14, 2011, and February 7, 2016, including more than a dozen undeclared bank accounts and unjustified income. Beyond banking issues, the investigation uncovers omissions related to real estate and vehicles belonging to Martelly. The ULCC recommends criminal prosecution for false asset declarations.
