Policewoman Killed Leaving a Bank

Wednesday, November 26, 2025 : Daphné Similien L., a member of the 21st promotion of the Haitian National Police (PNH), assigned to the General Security Unit of the National Palace (USGPN), was attacked and fatally wounded by unidentified individuals as she was leaving a bank, according to initial reports. According to the SPNH-17, the police union, 11 police officers were killed during the month of November, victims of the insecurity.

Inflation Above 32%

According to the latest data published by the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics (IHSI), inflation in Haiti continued its annual rise in October 2025. The General Consumer Price Index (CPI, base 100 in 2017-2018) increased from 556.4 in September to 564.9 in October, representing increases of 1.5% and 32.2% respectively, both on a monthly and annual basis, compared to 1.8% and 31.9% the previous month.

Les Cayes : Antoine Simon Airport

The Antoine Simon Airport in Les Cayes will become the most standardized airport infrastructure starting in 2028, thanks to financial support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), according to Réginald Guignard, Director General of the National Civil Aviation Office (OFNAC). Funeral of André Pasquet
