The assault resulted in the safe release of two hostages, Thony Ermilus and Berline Bazile, who had been kidnapped on November 1 in Fessa.
The Haitian National Police (PNH) continued its advance toward Furcy, forcing the bandits to retreat to Thomassin where they were intercepted and neutralized. The road to Furcy was cleared to allow for the pursuit of the last remaining fighters.
