"400 Mawozo" Retreats

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, several specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH) continued their operations against the "400 Mawozo" gang in several neighborhoods of the Croix-des-Bouquets commune, notably Marassa, Duval, and Raquette. Several armed bandits lost their lives during the clashes. Others, unable to withstand the pressure of the security forces' strikes, fled and abandoned the areas they occupied. The operations will continue until the last pockets of armed resistance are completely eliminated.

Failed Kidnapping, 2 Kidnappers Killed

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 5:50 a.m., an attempted kidnapping was thwarted in the Delmas 19 and 29 neighborhoods, thanks to the swift intervention of a police patrol. Four suspicious individuals on two motorcycles were spotted. After a chase, one of the motorcycles was intercepted. In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, two of the kidnappers were fatally wounded. Two firearms were recovered and one motorcycle was seized.
