Colombia : Meeting around a Roadmap for Haiti

On the sidelines of the European Union / Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (EU-CELAC) Summit in Colombia, Albert Ramdin, Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), met with Presidential Advisor Smith Augustin, Foreign Minister Jean-Victor Harvel Jean-Baptiste, Haitian Ambassador to the Benelux Alrich Nicolas and Espanna David, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Haiti in Colombia. They discussed the roadmap for Haiti ( https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-46151-haiti-politic-the-oas-presents-the-3rd-version-of-the-roadmap-on-haiti.html ), supported by the OAS, the UN, CARICOM, and the Haitian authorities, and reaffirmed Haiti's ownership of its implementation, while emphasizing the importance of support from other OAS member States. They also discussed upcoming commitments, including the next meeting of the Group of Friends of Haiti at the OAS.

Air Services Agreement with Qatar

At the International Commission for Air Navigation (ICAN 2025) International Conference on Air Services, the National Civil Aviation Authority (OFNAC), represented by its Director General, Réginald Guignard, and the State of Qatar signed an agreement to develop air services between and beyond their respective territories.

Debate on the 2025 Draft Electoral Decree

In partnership with the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP). PAHO : 5.5 Tons of Medical Aid

In response to Hurricane Melissa, a 5.5-ton shipment of medical supplies and equipment from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Strategic Reserve in Panama arrived in Haiti on a cargo flight funded by the EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid program, managed by UNHRD and supported by the World Food Programme. This medical equipment will provide essential care to more than 10,000 people.

More Than 50 Prisoners Die in Prisons in 3 Months

A UN report reveals that between July and September 2025, more than 50 prisoners died in Haitian prisons due to a prison system described by the UN as inhumane and degrading. These detainees died from various causes : overcrowding, lack of care, insufficient food, scarce water, and unsanitary cells.

Hurricane : Awareness-Raising Activities

Awareness-raising activities were conducted in the municipalities of Ouanaminthe and Fort Liberté, in schools and public markets, to promote behavioral change during the end of hurricane season. This activity was made possible thanks to the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
