Haiti - Security : New offensive strategy of the Haitian National Police

The Haitian National Police (PNH) is thinking of the impoverished families living in makeshift tents, of the children whose parents have to beg for food. It is thinking of its valiant police officers who are fighting gangs in the Central region, Artibonite, and Kenscoff, allowing the country to breathe new life.

It is encouraging to see that the PNH's new offensive strategy is bearing fruit in the Central region and Artibonite, where gangs continue to be defeated and pushed back. This is evidenced by the neutralization of about ten gangs in Lascahobas, the death of the lieutenant of gang leader Olritch, alias "M60" from Fort Sainclair, and the fact that Olritch himself was seriously wounded. We can also mention the recapture of the administrative district in downtown Port-au-Prince, where cabinet meetings are now being held.

The Central Directorate of Administrative Police (DCPA) maintains control of the front lines in the Central region and is anticipating terrorist incursions, with the support of local residents. While some casualties have been reported, particularly among police supporters, the police, backed by foreign forces, are continuing their offensive to retake territories controlled by the gangs. The roads connecting the Central region to the Artibonite Valley, notably the entrance to Délugé, are now free of all barricades.

On Tuesday, October 28, faced with the police's firepower, the "Taliban" gang terrorists simply refused to face the security forces and chose to flee. This demonstrates a renewed offensive momentum for the Haitian National Police (PNH) in their fight to restore law and order.
