Weather Alert Lifted in Haiti

On Thursday, November 30, 2025, given the complete movement of the hurricane away from our forecast area, thus eliminating any influence on weather conditions and ending the rain events linked to its indirect effects on the country, the Haitian Hydrometeorological Unit (UHM), in coordination with the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC) and the National Risk and Disaster Management Plan, announced the lifting of the weather alert and the return to the green level for the entire country. This decision marks a gradual return to calm and stable conditions in Haiti. Antoine Augustin, the Minister of National Education, announced the resumption of school activities in the country starting this Friday, October 31.

As of Thursday, October 30, 2025, the latest provisional death toll from Civil Protection following Hurricane Melissa's passage near Haiti has risen to at least 30 dead, 20 injured, and 20 missing.
