Aviation career awareness

Réginald Guignard, Director General of the National Civil Aviation Office (OFNAC), is committed to motivating young people and introducing them to the many opportunities offered by careers in aviation. As part of this initiative, OFNAC held its first presentation at a school to raise awareness and encourage students to explore this sector, which offers a wealth of career opportunities.

Schools Closed in Departments Under Red Alert

The Ministry of National Education has decided to temporarily close all schools in the departments under red alert: West, Nippes, Southeast, South, and Grand'Anse, starting this Wednesday, October 29, until the red alert is lifted. DGI : Tax Collection in Line with Forecasts

The General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) announces that it has collected 70 billion gourdes, in line with forecasts for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. However, Romuald Petit, Director General of the DGI (General Directorate of Taxes), deplores the relocation or closure of 21 tax collection points due to insecurity.

France supports Haitian women

At the 4th Ministerial Conference on Feminist Diplomacy, recently held in Paris, France reaffirmed its commitment to making the rights of women and girls and gender equality a priority of its foreign policy. In Haiti, as part of its feminist diplomacy, France has supported more than 50 organizations working for the rights of women and girls through the "Innovative Projects of Civil Society and Coalitions of Actors" (PISCCA) program. Support will be renewed for the next 14 months thanks to the Team France 2025 Fund.

Important meeting of French NGOs

Antoine Michon, the French Ambassador to Haiti, received representatives of French NGOs working in Haiti at the French Residence. Several of these NGOs receive financial support from France and the European Union. The meeting focused on the challenges faced in education, health, humanitarian aid, sustainable development, and security issues.
