All flights in and out of Haiti canceled

Sunrise Airways advises that due to the passage of Tropical Storm Melissa, its flight operations are affected as follows:

Tuesday, October 28 :

All flights to and from Les Cayes (CYA) remain canceled.

Wednesday, October 29 :

All flights to, from, and within Haiti (Miami, Port-au-Prince, Les Cayes, Cap-Haïtien, and Providenciales) are canceled.

We will inform you of the specific date of resumption of operations through our official channels as soon as conditions permit.

Melissa : 330,000 farm households threatened

Hurricane Melissa could threaten the crops of more than 330,000 Haitian farm households. With more than one in two Haitians experiencing acute food insecurity, protecting national production is vital. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO - Haiti) and the Ministry of Agriculture are monitoring the situation and stand ready to support affected households.
