Haiti - Social : The Minister Supplice met with Franco-Haitian associations

On Thursday, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, Daniel Supplice and officials of the Directorate of Communication, of the Cooperation inter-Haitian of MHAVE had a satisfying meeting with two Haitian leaders of associations of France, Mr. Mackendy Toutpuissant of the Platform of Associations Franco-Haitian (PAFHA) and Jean Claude Valdemar of the Association Franco-Haitian and Friends of Haiti (FHAH).

This exchange was to inform the Haitian authorities and executives of MHAVE about the various actions taken by these organizations of the Diaspora for the benefit of the population before and after January 12, 2010.

According to Mr. Toutpuissant, the PAFHA since some time is engaged in the training of members of local organizations serving as a relay to the associations of France in the preparation of their projects. This allowed them to build relationships with project sponsors promising in specific areas.

He said that his visit to the country, is part of the meeting held on Wednesday at the Hotel Montana, at the Forum of Club of Madrid. He received an invitation through the MHAVE for the dynamism of PAFHA.

He also took the opportunity to to inform the Ministry of projects of the FHAH that are underway in the town of Lafferonay (Gressier). "A hospital and a school complex should be completed in this locality before January 12, 2012," he said.

He noted that 28 million gourdes has already been spent in the start of both projects. He expressed the hope to have the support of other partners in the effective realization of its two projects that will soon serve approximately 90,000 residents of the town of Gressier.
