Haiti - Economy : Launch of the ONAPAM, credit for low and middle income

The President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, has proceeded to the launch of the ONAPAM, a new product designed for small savers and the beginning of the reconstruction work of the National Old Age Insurance (ONA), Bernard Degraff, the director of the National Old Age Insurance (ONA), several senators and government ministers, were present on the occasion of this launch.

The ONAPAM was launched on the occasion of the inauguration of the new building of 350m2 that will be used to host the 200 employees of the ONA, the ONAPAM is a product designed to provide credit to policyholders and other economic agents who have low and middle income, it is a individual credit that will be assigned exclusively by agents of the ONA, the amount of the credit will vary between 5.000 and 25.000 gourds, for reimbursement ranging from 3 to 6 months.

"This credit program was initiated for smaller grants and who do not have credit at the bank, with interest rates that no one can compete," said the President of Haiti.
