USA : Boulos Transferred to Federal Prison

Haitian businessman and politician Pierre Réginald Boulos was transferred this week from a migrant detention center in Florida to a federal prison in Miami. This development marks a turning point in his case. Boulos was recently arrested in the United States for violating the Immigration and Nationality Act, and for his alleged support for armed gangs and the destabilization of Haiti. WFP : Delivery of 26 tons of food

Preventing Child Gang Recruitment:

More than 100 Haitian women have been trained in community violence reduction to prevent child gang recruitment and restore trust with the police. Now certified, these mediators embody their communities' hope for a solution to the crisis based on dialogue, reconciliation, and child protection. This project is supported by the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), France via the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and Quisqueya University.

Environment : Risk Management Training

The DPC Training Directorate is launching the second training session to strengthen communal committees in the West, from July 21 to 26, as part of the Climate Risk Management and Resilience Project (PGRAC). The objective: to strengthen local resilience to climate hazards. With logistical support from Sikse, eight communes in the West were trained over the course of a week in:

- Hazard awareness;

- Contingency planning; - Preparing family emergency plans;

- Preventing gender-based violence (GBV).
